TOPIC: SHA-256

SHA-256 12 Sep 2015 07:25 #3165

Hi, for payments on joomla use your extension (pay per download).
It all works perfectly but this morning paypal sent me an email where he says that algorithms must be changed in sha-256.
I would like to confirm that the component complies with these requirements.
thank you.

Greetings,
I have seen the link. I guess the solution in my hands will be to set a choice to use ipnpb.paypal.com instead of paypal.com. Or use webhooks (option 3).
However, the problem lies in your server or OS.

Tell them you need that the server is compliant with sha-256 SSL algorithm.
Show them the link you sent me.

I could make a temporary fix but you would have to make your server compliant with SHA-256 by 2016.
